The Importance of Being Idle.
So I am sitting around waiting for Time Warner to officially come hook up my internet; figured
I could take this time to update for the first time in 3 weeks. Things have actually been
quite busy. I spent most of last week packing, moving, and cleaning, as I moved from my old
apartment to a different one (owned by the same people) about a block away. And no matter how
many times I move, it seems I always forget just how much it sucks... it was not a very fun week.
Perhaps what made it worse was that I had spent the week before last bumming around at Clear Lake (for the 4th) and at Clitherall Lake, where my grandparents live. My parents and brother also were there, so it was kind of a mini family vacation, I guess =) The weather was pretty awesome, the fishing was good, and I really felt like I had needed a break from everything. It was a great time, as usual, so it was really hard to leave and come back to all the relative chaos of life in Mpls.
Also this week, I sold my beloved iBook on ebay =( I got a million questions about it, but no one seemed to want to buy it at the BIN price -- guess maybe I needed to advertise it with "FREE SHIP." ;) However, I still managed to sell it for $400 to a local guy here in Mpls, so I won't have to fret over shipping the poor thing. My original plan had been to sell the iBook and Alex's tiBook to buy a new iBook, but I didn't realize that the current iBook model is nearly 10 months old, meaning an upgrade *should* be coming soon. So I have decided to wait on buying a new one for now. However, for the time being, I am 'book-less ... Farewell Walleye, you were a good laptop! *sniff*
Last but not least, I managed to get my copy of Harry Potter 6 this Saturday. I have been doing my very best to not just blitz through it, but unfortunately, I think it's a good deal shorter than either of the previous two. I will easily have it read by tonight, I think, as it's been a great read thus far. Then the long wait for the final book begins...*sigh*
