Well as of today I have been back from Europe for exactly a week, and it has
taken about this long for me to finally feel like I've found a routine again.
I even sort of forgot I had a webpage.
Europe was really awesome and I took something like 450 pictures while I was there,
which Andy was gracious enough to host for me, at least temporarily. So we ended
up visiting well over a dozen cities in 3 weeks, which was a pretty crazy pace
but got to see a lot. Started in Paris, and went to Amsterdam, Munich, Salzburg,
Venice, Rome, Florence, Lucca/Cinque Terre, and Torino. Overall I'd say that the
food was best in Italy (although the French make the best bread), and Germany/Austria
was probably my favorite place -- most likely because we encountered the nicest people
there, and Munich was a very pretty and clean city, relatively speaking. Also,
I had very much wanted to see the Alps and some castles, and we saw both in Germany
and Austria. All in all a good trip, but I am glad to be back in quiet comfy Ames,
where there are public restrooms and drinking fountains and a lot fewer people and
crazy drivers running around =)
